FAQ

ANSI Class 3 questions

When is Class 3 required?

Class 3 is typically specified for workers exposed to traffic above 50 mph, night work, or complex backgrounds such as equipment yards. Check your site safety plan and local regulations.

Can Class 2 garments be upgraded?

Adding taped sleeves to a Class 2 shirt or using a Class 3 jacket over a Class 2 vest can meet Class 3, but the combination must be certified; we can advise on tested pairings.

What is the minimum order for Class 3 styles?

100 pcs per style and colour, split across sizes. Mixed Class 2 and Class 3 styles can ship together in one container.

How do you document the 1,240 in² background requirement?

We mark the measured background and retroreflective areas on the pattern drawing in the tech pack, and the test report for the finished garment references that layout.

How long does a Class 3 programme take?

Sampling 7–10 days, bulk 30–45 days after approval. If the class is new to your range, approve the tape layout before booking production.
